Local-first inventory

BinThere is designed as a local-first inventory app. It does not require an account, does not use a BinThere server, and does not upload inventory data to Graywheel.

Inventory details, location names, item photos, image fingerprints, sale status, posted locations, prices, and app settings are stored on the user's device unless the user chooses to share or export something outside the app.

Camera and Photos

BinThere asks for camera access so users can take item photos and scan location barcodes. It asks for Photos access only when users choose existing images, choose or create an inventory album, or save full-quality originals to Photos.

When a user takes or imports a photo, BinThere keeps an app-sized local copy for inventory use. If Save originals to Photos is enabled, the full-quality original is saved to the user's Photos library or selected inventory album.

Data not collected by Graywheel

Graywheel does not collect, sell, rent, track, or share personal data from BinThere. The app does not include advertising, analytics SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Because inventory data is not transmitted to Graywheel, Graywheel cannot view, recover, or delete a user's inventory from a server.

User sharing

Users may choose to share photos, generated location barcodes, item details, or other content through iOS sharing features or other apps. When a user shares content outside BinThere, the destination app or service handles that shared content under its own policies.

Retention, deletion, and backups

Inventory data and local photo copies remain on the device until the user edits or deletes items, uses cleanup settings, removes the app, or changes the underlying device storage or Photos library.

App data may be included in device backups, iCloud backups, or device transfers depending on Apple settings. BinThere uses normal platform storage so inventory can move with a device backup when the user has backups enabled.

Children

BinThere is not directed to children and Graywheel does not knowingly collect personal data from children through the app.

Security

BinThere relies on Apple's device security, app sandboxing, Photos permissions, and backup settings to protect local data. Users should keep their device, passcode, Apple ID, and backups protected.

Changes

This statement may be updated as BinThere changes. The latest version will be available in the app and at this URL.
